FC Bayern have been searching for a successor to Thomas Tuchel for several weeks now. Tuchel himself must also be thinking about his future employment; according to reports, the coach would prefer to return to the Premier League. There are several interested parties in the English league for the 50-year-old.

According to Sky, West Ham United are keeping a close eye on the situation surrounding the Bayern coach. According to this, sporting director Steidten is a big fan of the coach’s work. As Tuchel is already flirting with a return to the Premier League, the Hammers could be a candidate.

However, Tuchel is not the only coach on West Ham’s list. The English club’s favoured solution is said to be Ruben Amorim (Sporting Lisbon). Julen Lopetegui (unassociated) and Paulo Fonseca (OSC Lille) are also highly favoured. There have also been no talks between the two parties.

Manchester United have already made contact

However, West Ham are not the only club from the island to show interest in the current Bayern coach. Manchester United also have Tuchel on their own list. James Ratcliffe, co-owner of the Red Devils since December 2023, is a big Tuchel fan and has already made contact with him. The collaboration with Erik ten Hag could come to an end this summer. United are currently in seventh place in the table and have to fear for their participation in a European competition.

Tuchel was already coach of Chelsea in the Premier League from 2021 to 2022 and won the Premier League with the Blues. He can well imagine a return to the island. Back in February of this year, FC Bayern and their coach agreed to end their collaboration in the summer.
