FC Bayern recorded a commanding 5-2 win against SV Darmstadt 98 on matchday 26 in the Bundesliga. However, the Munich side were without two players: Aleksander Pavlovic and Harry Kane had to be substituted with injuries.
Harry Kane had to be substituted shortly before the end (82nd minute) in the 5-2 win over SV Darmstadt 98 on Saturday. FC Bayern’s top striker had collided with a goalpost shortly beforehand and apparently suffered an injury to his shin.
Kane was treated on the pitch for some time, with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting eventually coming on for the attacker. It remains to be seen how seriously the Englishman was injured.
Sporting director Christoph Freund had the following to say about Kane: „We hope it’s not that bad. It was a precautionary measure that he went out. Harry twisted his ankle and the area had to be cooled. He won’t take any risks with the national team.“
Kane himself explained in the mixed zone after the game that it was „a bit painful“.
Pavlovic gives the all-clear
Particularly bitter: Aleksandar Pavlovic, an FCB professional, had to leave the pitch prematurely in the 58th minute. The 19-year-old had suffered a bruise in the area of his left eyebrow during an aerial duel.
Pavlovic was treated for several minutes but was unable to continue. Nevertheless, the midfielder took his place on the Munich substitutes‘ bench a short time later and celebrated with his colleagues in the Bayern curve after the match. According to Sky, the injury is not serious.
The midfielder himself gave the all-clear after the game: „It’s nothing serious, thank God. I just got a bit of an elbow bruise.“
