Should Alphonso Davies leave FC Bayern for Real Madrid in the summer, the club would have to look for a new left-back. One possible candidate would apparently be Theo Hernandez from AC Milan. According to an insider, the deal would be perfect for both parties.
Could Theo soon be the second Hernandez to wear the Bayern jersey? A picture that sports journalist and expert on French football Jonathan Johnson could definitely imagine.
Johnson explained his vision to the portal Caught Offside: „There are only a few really good quality full-backs in world football. And when you have a player of the calibre of Hernandez, he is automatically linked with clubs like FC Bayern.“
With more and more in favour of a Davies transfer to the Spanish capital at the moment, Hernandez would be a suitable reinforcement for Johnson. One reason given by the insider is that French players feel at home at FC Bayern. Players such as Kingsley Coman, Benjamin Pavard, Franck Ribéry and many more confirm this.
New Bayern coach is crucial for Hernández transfer:
According to Johnson, the possible transfer of the left-back is also dependent on the new Bayern coach: „We have to wait and see who the new coach will be and how Hernández’s style might fit in. At the moment we don’t know who will be the coach in Munich, but I think that question needs to be answered before the Hernández transfer would make sense,“ said the insider.
The French international has been linked with Munich for several months. A major hurdle for a transfer is likely to be the high transfer fee demanded, which is rumoured to be between 70 and 100 million euros.
