Real Madrid continues to keep a close eye on Michael Olise. However, there is currently no concrete move—and there appears to be a clear reason for this.
Michael Olise remains a topic of interest at Real Madrid, but the club is currently being conspicuously cautious in its pursuit of the Bayern star. The reason for this appears to stem less from a lack of interest than from their current assessment of the situation.
According to information from Sky, Real Madrid officials continue to monitor the situation surrounding the 24-year-old closely. However, sources in the Spanish capital believe that Olise will extend his contract with FC Bayern—which runs through 2029—ahead of schedule.
It is precisely this expectation that likely explains why Real is not launching a concrete transfer push at the moment. The Munich club is already preparing for new talks with Olise and, according to Sky, intends to do everything in its power to keep the Frenchman for the long term.
In fact, Bayern is apparently even willing to make Olise the club’s highest-paid player. If he extends his contract, the attacking star would rise to the very top of the club’s internal salary hierarchy.
Real apparently expects him to remain in Munich
For Real, the situation is therefore anything but ideal. Olise still has three years left on his contract, Bayern is under no pressure to sell, and doesn’t want to let the key player go anyway. At the same time, the record champions are already preparing the next contract offer.
The assessment from Madrid is therefore noteworthy. Although Real continues to monitor the Frenchman’s development, they do not currently seem to expect a real transfer opportunity to arise in the near future. Instead, according to Sky, club officials expect Olise to see his future remaining in Munich for the time being.
The interest from Real Madrid is, in principle, nothing new. As early as September, it was reported that several top clubs might be preparing a transfer push for Olise. Real Madrid, too, has been repeatedly linked with the Frenchman in recent months.

var d=e.data||{};
if(d.type===’FOOTY_WIDGET_HEIGHT’&&typeof d.height===’number‘){iframe.style.height=d.height+’px‘;}
});
})();
At FC Bayern, however, the stance is clear. Olise is one of the key players for the club’s sporting future and is expected to remain one of the faces of the team for the long term. Since his move from Crystal Palace, he has steadily increased his importance and has finally established himself as a world-class player under Vincent Kompany.
For Real Madrid, this likely means taking a wait-and-see approach for now. As long as the Madrid club assumes that Olise will extend his contract with FC Bayern, an offensive push seems unlikely to succeed. The Munich club currently has the significantly better starting position—and intends to secure it with a new mega-contract.
