According to the latest market value update, Lennart Karl tops the list of the world’s most valuable U18 players—leaving several top prospects behind.
At FC Bayern, Lennart Karl has long since evolved from a young prospect into a fixture on the professional roster. Now, his rapid rise is clearly reflected in his market value.
According to the latest update from Transfermarkt.de, the 18-year-old is now valued at 60 million euros. This makes Karl the most valuable U18 player in the world.
The Bayern youngster is followed by several highly rated talents from Europe’s top leagues. Max Dowman of Arsenal FC, at just 16 years old, already has a market value of 50 million euros. Rio Ngumoha of Liverpool FC and Ibrahim Mbaye of Aston Villa are also valued at 50 million euros.
Karl stands out from the international competition
Karl thus leads the ranking by a margin of 10 million euros. In fifth place is Honest Ahanor of Crystal Palace, with an estimated market value of 40 million euros. Konstantinos Karetsas of Borussia Dortmund is valued at 35 million euros.
After that, the valuations drop off somewhat more sharply. Nathan De Cat of TSG Hoffenheim is valued at 27 million euros. Gilberto Mora of Club Tijuana, at 17 years old and with a market value of 25 million euros, is the second-youngest player in the top ten.
Oskar Pietuszewski of FC Porto and Vasilije Kostov of Red Star Belgrade are also valued at 25 million euros.
For FC Bayern, Karl’s top ranking is further evidence of just how much the attacking player has developed in a short period of time. The 18-year-old has now firmly established himself among the pros and has long been on the radar of top international clubs.
It was recently reported that Real Madrid, among others, continues to monitor Karl. The youngster’s long-term future is therefore also a key consideration for FC Bayern, especially since interest from Madrid remains a topic of discussion.
The current ranking underscores just how extraordinary Karl’s development has been. No other player under the age of 18 is currently rated higher.
