The Munich team enters the match in fourth place with seven points and aims to put pressure on the teams at the top with a home win. Most recently, Vincent Kompany’s team won 2-1 on the road against SV Elversberg. Prior to that, FCB had been held to a scoreless draw at Schalke.
In the Champions League, however, Bayern were in scoring form. In their opening match of the tournament, the German record champions defeated Bodo/Glimt 5-0.
