In FC Bayern’s 5-0 victory over Bodø/Glimt, Michael Olise once again demonstrated why he has become one of the German record champions’ top performers. The Frenchman was directly involved in three goals and was named Man of the Match by UEFA following his stellar performance.

But it wasn’t just his two goals and his assist that stood out. The right winger was the linchpin of Munich’s offensive play throughout the entire match and posted impressive numbers in nearly every relevant category.

Bayern star continues his strong season
Olise is thus seamlessly building on his performances from last season. The attacking player is racking up scoring points at a rapid pace in the new season as well. After five competitive matches, he already has seven direct goal contributions.
In the Champions League opener, the Frenchman was unstoppable, especially in the closing stages. After scoring a dream goal to make it 4-0, he capitalized on a mistake by the visitors in stoppage time and sealed the 5-0 final score with his second goal.
It’s also noteworthy how little fuss Olise himself made about his performance. When asked by DAZN how it felt to score such a dream goal in the Champions League, he simply replied, “I don’t know.”
His explanation for his spectacular goals was also incredibly simple: “I shoot, and either the ball goes in or it doesn’t.”
Olise himself may view his stellar performance against Bodø/Glimt with a fair amount of detachment. His stats, on the other hand, speak volumes: two goals, one assist, seven key passes, six successful dribbles, 15 duels won—and, in the end, a perfect Sofascore rating of 10.0.
