Jamal Musiala is currently dealing with health issues. He collapsed on the field against RB Leipzig over the weekend and against Heidenheim yesterday, Tuesday.
This understandably caused great concern among FC Bayern fans. After the game against Heidenheim, he explained that he is suffering from neurological issues known as “absences.”
“I’m receiving the best medical care for this and am very optimistic. FC Bayern and my family and friends are always by my side and supporting me on this journey,” Musiala said in a statement after the game.
Nevertheless, questions remain. Will this issue have an impact on his career?

Musiala said on Tuesday: “The important thing is that there is no further health risk. In close consultation and regular communication with the experts, it has been my personal wish to rise to the challenge.”
According to dpa reports, there is cautious optimism within FC Bayern that Musiala will not only be able to continue his career but that there will also be no drastic limitations. Consequently, there is nothing to suggest he won’t be able to return to the highest level. The key factor for now will be adjusting his medication.
However, the fact that the problems occurred twice within such a short period of time has served as a warning sign .This was revealed by Uli Hoeneß, FC Bayern’s honorary president ,in an interview with Sky.
“Now, with these two incidents on Saturday and yesterday, it’s obviously a problem—first and foremost, of course, for Jamal himself. Honestly, I go to bed thinking about him and wake up thinking about him,” Hoeneß explained. He also reiterated that the player has the full support of FC Bayern.
Hoeneß also stated that there was no health risk and that the club is in constant communication with specialists.
“The specialists—the neurologists treating him—have assured us in writing that, from their perspective, nothing prevents Jamal from participating in high-performance sports. Since then, we’ve been sleeping a little better at night. But now, to be honest, we have to get used to this new situation. “I’m speechless,” Hoeneß continued. The next steps will now be coordinated closely with the treating physicians.
