That candidate is Brazilian defender Gleison Bremer, who currently plays for Juventus. Rumors about him have been circulating for some time, and a move to Munich is particularly realistic if FC Bayern sells a player like Hiroki Ito or Min-jae Kim.
Until then, there’s no room in the record champions’ defense. Furthermore, revenue must be generated in order to sell additional players. The fact that Bremer is already being discussed is because Juventus also wants to sign new players and is itself looking for buyers for some of its stars.
Bremer is increasingly coming into Bayern’s sights
Following recent reports that Bayern Munich’s interest has reignited, Italian media outlets such as *La Gazzetta dello Sport* are now following up. According to these reports, Bayern is once again courting the player more intensively behind the scenes, and there is more than just casual contact.
Tuttosport reports that Bremer, Khephren Thuram, and Andrea Cambiaso are among the players who could be sold if an enticing offer comes along. Juventus has put these players on the market and, according to reports, would even waive the buyout clause for the Bayern target—that is, the stipulated 58 million euros.
Instead, 40 million euros might be enough to sign the Brazilian this summer. Bremer himself sees himself in a good position and could once again compete for major titles with a move to a top club. However, he also knows that, now at 29 years old, time is running out a bit.
Time, however, is a decisive factor. Juventus also wants to strengthen its own roster as soon as possible. Among others, Randal Kolo Muani is on their list. Revenue is absolutely essential, and ideally, the Bianconeri don’t want to wait too long.
This means that even if Juventus lowers its asking price, Bayern Munich would likely still have to part with a defensive player fairly soon for a Bremer transfer to become a real possibility.
