Grayson Dettoni is leaving FC Bayern to join SV Darmstadt 98. The defensive player was already on loan to the Lilies in the second half of last season, who have now exercised a purchase option included in his contract, according to the record champions‘ statement

The 20-year-old made his professional debut in Bundesliga 2 against Karlsruher SC at the beginning of May, having previously played for numerous youth teams at FC Bayern
The 1.95m tall centre-back is seen by the Lilies as a promising player who should develop further in the new season and become a permanent fixture in the Bundesliga 2. Before his time at FC Bayern, Dettoni played for the youth team of 1860 Munich
He played for Grasshoppers from Zurich on loan from January until the summer of 2025 before moving to Darmstadt, where he seems to have made a lasting impression. It is unclear how much FC Bayern will pay for the young defender
Recently, FC Bayern have often been able to secure a buy-back option for various players, but there is currently no word of this. In any case, Dettoni does not appear to have been rated as such a high-calibre player to be a permanent option for FCB
