This would see Kane extend his contract, which currently runs until 2027, by a further year until 2028. Both sides would also have an option to extend their collaboration again until 2029
Bayern want to minimize risk
The main reason for this is the attacker’s age: Harry Kane will turn 33 in the summer and a traditional long-term contract for three or four years would obviously be too much of a financial risk from Bayern’s point of view
That is why those responsible around Max Eberl and Christoph Freund now favor a flexible solution
The model would give both sides planning security – but at the same time leave enough leeway should Kane physically decline in a few years

Even honorary president Uli Hoeneß recently expressed his enthusiasm for the goalscorer: „Today I would buy him for 150 million,“ the 74-year-old recently declared
Kane has also long been regarded internally as a central pillar for the coming years, with sporting director Max Eberl recently confirming that the club is in „intensive discussions“ with the striker
With the planned „1+1“ model, a solution now appears to have been found that could meet both Bayern’s sporting demands and the club’s financial framework conditions.
