VfB Stuttgart is playing one of the best seasons in the club’s history and has deservedly qualified for the Champions League. Chris Führich is one of the most important players in Sebastian Hoeneß‘ team and is partly responsible for their success with his outstanding performances. So it’s no wonder that FC Bayern is not the only club interested in him.

After his convincing performances in the current season, Chris Führich is one of VfB Stuttgart’s most sought-after players. A number of top international clubs have had him on their radar, and not just since his nomination for the national team and his three international caps. According to kicker, FC Bayern, who have been interested in him for some time, have now been joined by several clubs from the English Premier League.

Chelsea FC in particular have been linked with a move for the winger. Even though VfB Stuttgart will of course do everything in their power to keep Führich, the club’s hands are probably tied due to an exit clause. As VfB will be playing in the Champions League next year, the fixed transfer fee has risen to between 25 and 30 million euros according to kicker information.

Bayern still has good cards in the Führich poker

Despite interest from some big names on the island, the German record champions still seem to have the best chance of signing Chris Führich. According to BILD head of football Christian Falk and Sport-BILD chief reporter Tobi Altschäffl, Bayern are currently in pole position for the 26-year-old.
What’s more, FC Bayern appear to have one less rival, at least from Germany. Borussia Dortmund are said to be unwilling or unable to pay the transfer fee for Führich.
