Kingsley Coman suffered a serious muscle injury at the end of April and will be out for a long time. The Bayern winger is apparently making good progress during his rehab and has not yet given up on participating in the European Championship.

As FC Bayern announced on Monday, the Frenchman has completed his first running sessions. In terms of his comeback plan, Coman is right on schedule.

Insider Fabrizio Romano also reports that the Bayern star’s recovery is progressing very well. Coman is doing everything he can to get fit in time for the European Championship. According to Romano, it is not out of the question that the Frenchman will be ready for action again by the Champions League final on 1 June, should he continue to make such progress and Bayern secure their place in the final.

Race against time

The Munich left-back has been suffering from injury for years. Since joining the German record champions in 2017, the 27-year-old has missed a whopping 165 games through injury.

For Coman, the coming weeks will be a race against time. The main challenge will be to find the right balance between ambition and physical resilience.
