Bayern set a new transfer record with Harry Kane in the summer of 2023. According to reports, FCB spent around €100 million on the top goalscorer. According to the latest reports, the German record champions could make another such mega-transfer in the upcoming transfer window.

Even if the often-discussed squad reorganisation at FC Bayern is not being actively pursued without a new head coach, planning is already underway at Säbener Straße for the coming summer transfer window. As reported by kicker, those responsible are working very intensively on future personnel decisions and the associated squad planning.

Interestingly, according to kicker, „investments on a large scale“ are by no means ruled out, in fact they are planned. In plain language, this means that the Bayern bosses are prepared to once again enter the realms of Harry Kane for certain players. According to kicker, German international Florian Wirtz is a player for whom Bayern would „put a lot of money on the table“ if the Leverkusen player is available in the summer.

Bayern want to generate income through player sales

One thing is clear: coveted players like Wirtz cost a lot of money. According to reports, Bayer Leverkusen are demanding 120 to 130 million euros for the attacking player. In order to finance such transfers, Munich would first have to generate revenue through player sales.

The list of potential sales candidates at the Isar is long. The contracts of Joshua Kimmich, Leroy Sane and Alphonso Davies all expire in 2025. If no agreement is reached, all three are considered transfer candidates. However, players such as Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry and Dayot Upamecano are also rumoured to be available should Bayern receive attractive offers.
