FC Bayern Munich has improved in this respect: according to the latest statistics, wage costs at the German record champions have risen again compared to the previous season. Two prominent clubs from England have been overtaken in this respect.

The UEFA study „The European Club Finance and Investment Landscape“ now lists the wage costs of top European clubs and also compares which clubs were able to increase or decrease their expenditure compared to the previous season. As the study shows, Bayern’s wage costs have risen by €67 million compared to the previous season. Accordingly, 349 became 416 million euros.

Salary ranking: FCB in 6th place in European comparison

This puts them ahead of FC Barcelona (€639 million), Paris Saint-Germain (€617 million) and Manchester City (€554 million). Real Madrid (€453 million) and Liverpool FC (€429 million) are also ahead of Bayern in terms of salaries.

But then the German record champions are listed, which presumably puts them ahead of Chelsea FC, especially as only the total from last season (€397 million) is reported here. In any case, they overtook Manchester United, as the „Red Devils“ were able to reduce their expenditure from 482 to 381 million euros.

Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus and Arsenal follow behind. After Atlético Madrid, the next German club appears: Borussia Dortmund. FCB shot up three places compared to the previous season, which is not necessarily a good thing for those responsible.
