FC Bayern was not really in top form in its 3-0 home win against VfL Bochum. Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Müller struggled after the game and both made it clear that they need to step up their game against Paris Saint-Germain.

The first home win of the new year – without conceding a goal. At first glance, the 3-0 win against Bochum looks like a successful dress rehearsal for the CL clash against Paris Saint-Germain. However, Julian Nagelsmann was not really satisfied with his team’s performance after the game: „We had a good six minutes at the beginning, then bad minutes until the 60th minute. From the 60th minute it was okay,“ Nagelsmann told „Sky“.

„It could already run more refreshingly“.

The 35-year-old made it clear that this performance will not be enough against PSG: „We don’t have a super flow. If we play like this on Tuesday, it won’t be enough to progress.“

Nagelsmann hopes that the FCB stars can turn the lever in the Champions League: „I think and hope that on Tuesday the excitement of the competition and the duel will bring new freshness. I can already understand that it is not so easy in the Bundesliga three days before such a game.“

Thomas Müller also struggled with the performance against Bochum: „It was a game we can live with well before Paris. But it could already run more refreshing. On Tuesday it depends, we have to be there and bring a good result back to Munich.“
