After amazing victory at Camp Nou against Barcelona, Julian Nagelsmann was full of joy after he proved all criticism wrong once again, and here is what Bayern coach had to say after the game:
„The way we won gives us a lot of energy. I don’t think Barça were expecting us to be so bold. But you have to do that when you play against Barcelona. We scored two lovely goals and added a third at the end. We didn’t let them have any shots on goal; we defended with so much passion. The team made a statement tonight.“
Nagelsmann also did not hide an ambition for Champions League this season:
„We have 15 points in the toughest group in the Champions League. We’ll try to win the Champions League this season, but we have to keep going. This was the first step, but a lot more steps have to follow to win the title at the end of the season „-said Bayern coach
With this victory Bayern have secured top spot in so called „Group of Death“, but it is expected that Nagelsmann will do everything that he can to secure a maximum amount of points for second year in a row in the Champions League.
After really rough end of last month, it looks like that Bayern is back and that it is time for 34-year coach to deliver all the hype and to make all the criticism pointless from 30 days ago.
