Julian Nagelsmann on the performance, Choupo Moting and injury status for DFB Pokal
Julian Nagelsmann can finally take an inner relaxation after his team responded in fantastic fashion on the pitch to all critics.
34-year coach gave his thoughts on the game:
„The boys played a great game, all of them. Today we did it for 90 minutes. I’m very proud of the team – the win is highly deserved. We scored a lot of nice goals, it wasn’t a coincidence. We had a lot of good moments today“
He was also asked for the injury status in front of DFB Pokal game against Augsburg:
„Regarding Manu and Thomas it’s not ruled out that they could play, but at the moment I’m not firmly planning with them for the game. We have to see from day to day. Mazraoui was subbed of as small precaution because he felt small discomfort and we did not want to risk, but with Leroy we will need to wait for the results of MRI scan.“ Nagelsmann added
In the end he was asked about Choupo Moting’s good performance and this is what he had to say:
„Choupo did very well today. He brought his training performances to the pitch from the first minute. He actually deserved to get a start earlier in the season. We know we can rely on him and I’m happy we have him.“
It remains to see will Choupo Moting get another start against Augsburg in DFB Pokal, especially if Thomas Müller returns and will Kingsley Coman get a chance after he was suspended for this game.
