Which strikers are available for Bayern on the market?

After Harry Kane news broke out, it is pretty much clear that Bayern will go for new striker next summer. Knowing Daniel Levy (Director of Tottenham) negotiations won’t be easy so the board should be ready for some backup options if this deal fails through.

Here are some best options on the market:

Dušan Vlahović

New Serbian star is on the radar for the whole Europe, including Bayern after Italian medias reported that Juventus board is not happy with his recent performances and even he is disappointed with the whole structure of record Italian champion, and their perspective for the future that they have. Vlahović had big interest from Arsenal in the winter and he rejected their offer which was financially bigger than the one from Juventus, but his love for the life in Italy was crucial for his next step in the career. Before his move there, Christian Falk reported that Hasan Salihamidzić had former Fiorentina striker as Erling Haaland alternative and if he did not force the move in January, maybe Bayern would have gone for him but with his current situation in Turin, and knowing the fact that both Bayern and Juventus have good relationship which was proved in the last deal for Matthijs De Ligt, it should not be suprised if Vlahović becomes main target for the Rekordmeister! Serbia will be one of the most interesting teams in Qatar, and everyone will put their focus on 22-year old and see how will he perform on the footballs biggest stage.

Lautaro Martinez

Since winter of 2019, Lautaro Martinez has declared himself as the next big Argentinian striker in Europe. Barcelona almost had deal done for him in the Summer of 2020 for 120 milion euros which was his release clause that expired in July of that year. Next season he put even better performances, scoring 21 goals in Inter’s Serie A winning season. Even though they won both League and Cup in the last 2 seasons, Inter’s financial situation is not that great. Their owners from China have put the club in big debt which they try to allocate with the strategy of selling their best players and brining some cheap alternatives. As with Juve, Bayern has really good and respectable relationship with Inter as well and they even agreed to lower the buyout clause for Ivan Perišić which was not activated in the end. Lautaro’s style of play is really simillar to the one of Lewandowski, but unlike Vlahović, he acts a bit selfish in some situations and his South American mentality led to some nasty red cards who costed Inter some big games. Nevertheless, he is a very interesting option and when we remember that Lewandowski had some flaws when he was the same age as Lautaro and how much he developed in Bayern, bringing him is not a big no brainer.

Tammy Abraham

When Jose Mourinho went for Tammy Abraham for 40 milion euros, everyone was a bit suprised, knowing the fact that he did not do much in Chelsea’s Champions League winning season and that his development stagnated for that whole year. He made good impression in 2019/20 season but after Winter Break of that year, his performances declined in the second part of the season and after Covid Lockdown they were not much better either. In Roma he really found his form and new spirit scoring 17 goals in Serie A and 9 goals in UEFA Conference League and assisted 5 overall. Those 5 assists don’t tell the whole story, because he really likes to drop in midfield and act as some type of false 9 in some situations just like his fellow Englishman Harry Kane, and that would really suit style of Julian Nagelsmann’s play. If Bayern decide to go for 25 year old striker, they would need to act fast, since Chelsea has buyback option for 80 milion euros and if Pierre Emerick Aubameyang does not meet expectations, Abraham’s return to his parent club could become a big possibilty.
