Bayern Munich will have to do without Kingsley Coman for the time being. The Frenchman has sustained a muscular injury in training.

Ahead of the fixture against VfB Stuttgart, head coach Julian Nagelsmann confirmed straight away that Kingsley Coman will not be available for Bayern due to an injury he picked up in the morning while training. Nagelsmann had hoped the injury is not serious and that Coman’s diagnosis was still pending.

„King [Coman] injured himself in training. It’s a muscular injury. We hope it’s nothing bad. In the best case, it is a strain, in the worst case a muscle tear. I’m assuming a fiber tear. But I’m assuming the best and I hope it’s not a bundle tear.“

The final diagnosis on Coman came quick as Bayern on an official release confirmed that Coman had suffered a muscular injury on his right thigh and will be out „for the time being“. As a result, Coman will be surely missing the Bundesliga fixture against Stuttgart, as well as the Champions League match against FC Barcelona.

Although Bayern have not given the exact downtime of the Frenchman, according to BILD, Coman will be out for two to three weeks. This means that Coman won’t be available for Bayern in the next 4 or 5 matches.

With the injury, the fears of Coman not being able to stay injury-free have resurfaced again. The Frenchman has been in excellent form since the October of last year and the injuries throughout the years have been the only obstacle to his development. It is quite evident what Coman has been able to deliver every time he played.
