After the signing of Ryan Gravenberch, the club is now working to sign another midfield reinforcement.

Bayern have been linked with Austrian international Konrad Laimer for weeks. The 25-year-old used to be a topic in Munich back in the summer of 2021 but it could not materialize due to the signing of his compatriot Marcel Sabitzer. Head coach Julian Nagelsmann already hinted that he wants a „pressing machine“ and knows Laimer very well from their times together at RB Leipzig.

The „Fussball Transfer“ portal reported that the German record champions are serious about a transfer deal with the Austrian international. As it’s been reported, the club has now made their first official offer.

Bayern have reportedly offered a fee of 22 million euros as a fixed one plus another two million in performance-related bonus payments. The Saxons have already rejected this offer. According to reports, RB is basically open to a sale, but demands at least 30 million euros for the player. Transfermarkt estimates Laimer’s current market value at 28 million euros.

Laimer’s contract at RB Leipzig expires next year. If Bayern Munich keep their serious interest in Laimer consistent, it is more likely that both clubs could compromise on a fee of less than 30 million euros. RB Leipzig know that time is running out, and while they will be pushing for the 30 million euro offer, they will be waiting for another club to match their demands.

However, in Bayern’s luck, Laimer only prefers to move to Bayern. There has already been established contact with his entourage. The Saxons should be forced to lower their demands as time goes by in order not to lose the player for free and generate necessary profit as soon as possible.
