In their search for a promising young talent, Bayern Munich have apparently found what they are looking for at VfB Stuttgart. According to rumors the Bavarians are interested in the 17-year-old youngster Laurin Ulrich.

Bayern Munich insider Christian Falk revealed in his podcast that the Bayern scouts are observing the youngster. Ulrich is currently playing for Stuttgart in the U17 Bundesliga and has been involved in 13 goals in 18 games.

The attacking midfielder is a similar type of player to Kai Havertz, and his current coach at VfB Stuttgart praised his leadership qualities for the “Sky Germany” microphone: “He is the heart and soul of our game. A very creative, technically gifted player who, as captain of the German U17 national team, is now the focus of attention.”

Ulrich has a contract with Stuttgart until 2023. However, the Swabians have an option to extend the youngster until 2024. What is interesting though, the youngster is represented by Roman Rummenigge, the son of ex-Bayern club boss and legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. According to Falk, Bayern have a good relationship with the player’s entourage, though there have been no concrete talks so far.
