Bayern Munich have set their eyes on another Ajax star after Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui. According to rumors, the club is now holding talks with Jurrien Timber.

There are inconstent rumors regarding a potential newcomer for the central defense. Perhaps Bayern are stuck to the idea of not buying an expensive central defender, since they will be moving Benjamin Pavard to the center, but it seems like they are not averse to the idea of getting another young central defender with development potential.

According to „Sky Germany“, Bayern Munich and technical director Marco Neppe have initiated talks with the entourage of the Dutchman and have asked them about the current situation of the defender. Timber has a contract until 2024, which means that Ajax would demand a high transfer fee.

Louis van Gaal is a fan of the defender

The 20 years old Dutchman has played 41 competitive games for Ajax this season, where he has scored 3 goals and made one assist. His current market value according to Transfermarkt is 30 million euros.

According to Sky Germany, former Bayern coach Louis van Gaal is a very big fan of the defender and he thinks that the player would fit Bayern perfectly.
