With Tanguy Nianzou, will another central defender leave FC Bayern in the summer? Media outlets currently report that several clubs, including those in the Bundesliga, are chasing after the youngster.

The French „L’Equipe“ reports that Tanguy Nianzou could leave Bayern on loan at the end of the season to get more playing time at another club. The young Frenchman has played 20 games for Bayern Munich this season, but he has been on the pitch for an average of fewer than 40 minutes.

Leipzig in pole position?

According to the newspaper, several clubs are interested in the defender. AS Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen are already in contact with the player’s entourage. According to „L’Equipe“ information, however, RB Leipzig is currently ahead of the competition. There is a loan included without a buyout option.

The report from France comes as a bit of a surprise. “SPORT1” recently reported that Bayern ruled out Nianzou saying goodbye in the summer, even on loan. With the departure of Niklas Süle, the youngster should have a much bigger role from the coming season. This is one of the reasons why Bayern are increasingly refraining from signing a new central defender.

In Munich however, there doesn’t seem to be complete agreement on the matter of Nianzou. While Julian Nagelsmann has repeatedly publicly criticized the defender, sports director Hasan Salihamidzic is said to be a big fan of the U20 national player and Bayern keeps demanding more playing times for him.
