Great news for Bayern Munich and their fans! The club confirmed on Wednesday that the stadium will be opened at full capacity.

Bayern fans have been waiting for this news for a long time. The club will be finally allowed to fully utilize the Allianz Arena, as the club announced today. The Bavarian state government already announced yesterday that most of the COVID-19 measures will no longer apply from Sunday, April 3rd. This also includes audience restrictions at sporting events.

2G rule, mask requirement, and distance regulation are no longer applicable

This means that 75,000 fans are again allowed in the Allianz Arena for Bayern’s upcoming home game against FC Augsburg on April 9th. In addition to the abolition of capacity restrictions, the obligation to wear masks and distance regulations are also no longer applicable. In addition, there is no longer a 2G regulation.

Jan-Christian Dreesen, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management of FC Bayern, commented as follows: „We are very happy, especially for our fans, that the entire spectator capacity in the Allianz Arena will be allowed again. The fans are the essence of football and make the games in our stadium unique, especially now, at the crucial stage of the season.”
