With Robert Lewandowski’s future still uncertain, a new interesting name has emerged from the Bundesliga. According to recent reports, Bayern Munich are targeting VfB Stuttgart’s striker Sasa Kalajdzic

The record champions have been associated with numerous potential successors for Lewandowski in recent months. Erling Haaland in particular should be at the top of the wish list. But due to the high demand, high fees, and likely to move to Real Madrid in the summer, Bayern could distance from the Norwegian. As the German magazine “kicker” reports , VfB Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic has attracted interest from those in Munich.

Kalajdzic leaving Stuttgart

The 24-year-old Austrian switched from Admira Wacker to VfB Stuttgart for almost two million euros in 2019 and has developed into one of the top scorers in the Bundesliga. Last season, he scored 17 goals and provided 6 assists for the Swabians, but this season, the striker was unable to further show his qualities due to injuries. Nevertheless, Kalajdzic is on the wish lists of numerous top clubs from abroad and in Germany. According to „kicker“, Bayern also set their eyes on him. It remains to be seen how concrete the interest of the record champions actually is.

One thing is clear: Kalajdzic has a contract until 2023. An extension with the Swabians is almost impossible, since Stuttgart cannot offer the player any attractive prospects – neither sporty nor financially. The club can only generate a pleasant fee this summer, which is between 20-25 million euros. In addition to Bayern, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also said to be interested in the striker.
