While Joshua Zirkzee’s future is still being sorted out, a lot of clubs have merged for the services of the Dutchman. According to a former teammate at his loan club, Zirkzee wants to return to Anderlecht.
Several clubs from the Bundesliga and abroad have been setting sights on Joshua Zirkzee for weeks and the Dutchman must be deeply confused about who to choose. In Belgium, there are increasing reports that the attacker is about to return to his former loan club RSC Anderlecht.
Zirkzee played for the Belgian club on loan last year, while impressing everyone with 31 goal involvements in 47 competitive games.
The Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws reported this week that Anderlecht and Bayern are in advanced negotiations. The player would also love to return to Belgium, as his former team-mate Wesley Hoedt has now revealed: „I spoke to Joshua. He really wants to return to Anderlecht. Joshua would not only be an asset for us, but also for the entire Belgian league. He has quality and quality is always welcome.”
According to reports, Bayern are demanding 15-20 million euros for the striker. With the sale of left-back Sergio Gomez to Manchester City, Anderlecht are now able to match the fee thanks to the fee received from the sale.
