Karl-Heinz Rummenigge gives Bayern fans hope: Harry Kane and Michael Olise are expected to stay in Munich long-term.
FC Bayern is working to keep its two biggest offensive stars for the long term. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has now commented on the future plans of Harry Kane and Michael Olise—and made it clear that he expects both to stay for an extended period.
“Both plan to stay at FC Bayern for a long time. I hope—and am also very confident—that Harry will extend his contract soon. And that Michael will be next. I’d like to see him stay at Bayern for a long time to come,” said the supervisory board member in an interview with ran.
Negotiations regarding Kane’s contract extension appear to be well underway. The Englishman is currently under contract through 2027. Recently, it had already become apparent that talks with the 33-year-old were entering the home stretch. Only the question of the contract’s duration appears to remain open: either through 2029 or even through 2030.
Olise is set to follow Kane
The plan is also clear for Michael Olise. Although the Frenchman is still under contract through 2029, he has long since established himself as one of FC Bayern’s most important players. After Kane’s contract extension, talks will apparently also begin with him regarding an early contract extension.

Rummenigge made no secret of his appreciation for both stars. “These are world-class players who don’t grow on trees, and fortunately, they’ve been such key figures for us for some time now.”
Given the international interest, this is likely to be an important signal, especially for Olise. Real Madrid, Barcelona, and other top clubs have recently been linked to the 24-year-old.
For Rummenigge, it’s clear that with Kane and Olise, Bayern has two players on the roster who are set to shape the face of the team for years to come.
