Harry Kane has once again taken his game to a new level at FC Bayern. The English forward consistently performs at an extremely high level and is among the top contenders for the Ballon d’Or, which will be awarded at the end of October.
It’s not just his teammates and experts who rave about Kane. Former and current coaches are also impressed by the Englishman’s qualities.
This includes Anthony Barry, Thomas Tuchel’s assistant coach with the English national team, who was also part of Tuchel’s coaching staff at FC Bayern. He believes that the Bayern star is the best goal-scorer he has ever seen—even better than Cristiano Ronaldo.
Barry Impressed by Bayern Star Kane
During the current international break, Kane has once again performed at the highest level and scored goals. He also set up goals and consistently played for the good of the team.
England’s assistant coach Barry is absolutely raving about him. “He’s the best goal-scorer I’ve ever worked with,” The Athletic quotes the coach as saying. He adds: “And that’s out of all the great goal-scorers I’ve ever worked with—including Cristiano and all those other players.”
It’s easy for Barry to draw a direct comparison to Ronaldo, as he worked under Roberto Martinez as an assistant coach for the Portuguese national team before returning to Tuchel and, consequently, FC Bayern.
The assistant coach was asked about Kane’s impressive finishing during warm-ups and explained: “They say it was ‘phenomenal,’ but I’d say that’s just business as usual for Harry.“What you see during warm-ups—the repetition of ball control, the precision—that’s simply a level I’ve never experienced before. And with both feet.”
Kane is looking to score again for the English national team this Tuesday. They’ll be facing the Czech Republic in the Nations League, with points on the line.
