FC Bayern is constantly on the lookout in the transfer market for players who could be of interest to its own squad in the future. It appears that an old acquaintance remains on Munich’s radar: Kenan Yildiz.
The Turkish national team player was trained at the Bayern campus for many years, but in 2022 he decided against a future in Munich. Yildiz moved to Juventus on a free transfer and developed into one of Europe’s most sought-after attacking players there.
Bayern apparently never completely lost sight of their former youth player. As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the German record champions remain among the clubs that are, in principle, open to signing the attacking star.
Bayern continues to monitor Yildiz
A return to Munich would certainly be a big deal. Looking back, Yildiz had spoken critically about his final years at FC Bayern, citing a lack of trust, among other things. His move to Turin proved to be the right move from a sporting perspective.
In the meantime, the situation has changed fundamentally. Instead of a youth player fighting for his place on the first team, Yildiz would now be a potential blockbuster signing.
Bayern, however, are by no means alone in their interest. Real Madrid is also said to still have its eye on the Turkish national team player. The Royals had already been looking more closely at Yildiz when Vinicius Junior’s future was uncertain. Although the Brazilian has since extended his contract, Yildiz is reportedly still on Madrid’s radar.
Arsenal FC is also rumored to be interested. Juventus is thus in a comfortable position and has little interest in letting its star forward go.
Juventus is asking for 100 million euros

The price tag is expected to be correspondingly high. According to Corriere dello Sport, the Turin club’s bottom line is around 100 million euros. Only at that level would Juventus apparently be willing to seriously consider a sale.
Whether Bayern would actually be willing to dig that deep into their pockets for Yildiz is questionable. Especially since there is currently no urgent need for another attacking superstar.
Instead, the Munich club is focused on how to better relieve the pressure on Luis Díaz on the left wing in the future. An additional winger is seen as a possible reinforcement, though the intention is likely to sign a backup player. A transfer in the range of 100 million euros would be hard to imagine for this role.
Yildiz is therefore likely to remain more of an interesting option for the future for the time being. Should the personnel situation in Bayern’s offense change, the former Munich youth player could once again come into sharper focus.
Bringing him back, however, would now be anything but cheap: Four years after he left Bayern on a free transfer, the record champions might have to pay around 100 million euros for Yildiz.
