It could truly be a neck-and-neck race between these two outstanding soccer players. Kane certainly has the support of FC Bayern and his teammates.
Stanisic would vote for Kane
This has become increasingly clear over the past few weeks. The record champions, along with all players and officials, are standing behind Kane. Josip Stanisic, the Croatian defender playing for FC Bayern, has now also stated that he would vote for his teammate and considers him the deserving winner. “I would definitely vote for Harry Kane to win the Ballon d’Or. It’s not just about Harry’s goals and assists; I see how much he works defensively for the team—he’s very important to the team in that regard. I would vote for him without hesitation,” said Stanisic ahead of his Croatian team’s Nations League match against Kane’s England squad.
He was also asked about how difficult it is to defend against the striker. “It’s difficult. You have to constantly pay attention to his positioning because he only needs a second to score. You always have to be alert and stay close to him,” explained the versatile Croatian.
