FC Bayern’s Bundesliga campaign continues on Sunday. On Matchday 3, the record German champions will travel to face SV Elversberg. Kickoff at the Ursapharm-Arena an der Kaiserlinde is at 5:30 p.m.
The Munich team travels to the Saarland with four points. After a convincing 5-1 win against VfB Stuttgart to kick off the Bundesliga season, Vincent Kompany’s team was recently held to a 0-0 draw at FC Schalke 04.
Elversberg, on the other hand, has gotten off to a dream start in its first Bundesliga season. The promoted team won its first two games and, with six points, is even ahead of Bayern in the standings. After a 3-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen, SVE came back from a 1-3 deficit at Borussia Mönchengladbach to secure a spectacular 4-3 victory.

Anyone who wants to watch the Bundesliga match between SV Elversberg and FC Bayern live will need a paid subscription. There will be no broadcast on free-to-air TV.

Bayern faces another tough away game
Following their scoreless draw at Schalke, Bayern faces another matchup against a supposed underdog. However, Elversberg has already shown in the first two matchdays that the Bundesliga newcomer is by no means content to just hang in there.
For Kompany, the question also arises as to how much he will rotate his squad. The FCB played in the Champions League as recently as Thursday and celebrated a decisive 5-0 opening victory over Bodo/Glimt. That leaves only about 66 hours between the two matches.

Meanwhile, Elversberg will have to do without its head coach in its very first competitive match in club history—against FC Bayern, of all teams. Vincent Wagner received a yellow-red card in the victory at Gladbach and has been suspended for one game.
As a result, Wagner won’t be able to watch what is likely the biggest game in Elversberg’s Bundesliga history from the sidelines. On the field, however, the newly promoted team is expected to enter the matchup against the record champions with plenty of confidence.
