After his first World Cup and his move to FC Bayern, Nathaniel Brown is consciously enjoying his free time far away from luxury and glamour. Instead of a private jet and a dream beach, the new signing was drawn back to his home in the Upper Palatinate—and that’s exactly what many fans love about him.
For Nathaniel Brown, the past few weeks could hardly have gone better. The 23-year-old made his debut for the German national team at the World Cup, played in three matches, scored one goal, and set up another. Shortly after the tournament, the left back took the next big step in his career, transferring from Eintracht Frankfurt to FC Bayern for around 50 million euros, where he signed a contract through 2031.
However, before preseason training under Vincent Kompany begins on July 20, Brown isn’t using his free time for an exclusive luxury vacation.
Back home instead of at the beach
As reported by BILD, the national team player spent last weekend in his hometown of Amberg in the Upper Palatinate. There, Brown first attended an amateur exhibition match between Sportpark Schwarzenfeld and TSV Rieden to support a good friend.
The spectators immediately recognized the new Bayern signing. Brown took plenty of time to sign autographs, take photos, and chat with the fans.

Afterward, the 23-year-old rounded out the day with dinner at a pizzeria in Amberg before attending the traditional Bergfest celebration on Mariahilfberg that evening. There, too, Brown obliged numerous requests for photos and autographs and mingled with the visitors as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
The summer signing clearly continues to feel right at home and is enjoying his time surrounded by family, friends, and familiar faces.
In just a few days, a new chapter will begin for the left back. When FC Bayern kicks off training, Brown will start his first season with the German record champions.
