FC Bayern swept the Sky TU Awards 2026. Munich took home three awards: Luis Díaz, Lennart Karl, and Max Eberl prevailed over their competitors in the fan vote.
Sky users have decided: FC Bayern has produced the winners in three of the most important categories at this year’s TU Awards.
Luis Díaz was voted “Transfer of the Season,” Lennart Karl was named “Newcomer of the Season,” and Max Eberl was named “Manager of the Season.”
Díaz has impressed in his debut season
In the “Transfer of the Season” category, Luis Díaz received 55 percent of all votes, clearly edging out Edin Dzeko (17 percent) and Luka Vuskovic (12 percent).
The Colombian national team player had an outstanding first season with FC Bayern. In a total of 51 competitive matches, the 29-year-old racked up an impressive 49 points. Díaz is currently playing for Colombia in the World Cup and is fighting to advance to the Round of 16.
The result was even more decisive in the vote for “Newcomer of the Season.” Lennart Karl received 74 percent of all votes, clearly outpacing Said El Mala (16 percent) and Johan Manzambi (8 percent).
The 18-year-old finally made his breakthrough with the pros last season. In 40 competitive matches, the attacking player scored nine goals and set up eight more. However, Karl missed the World Cup due to injury after tearing a muscle bundle during preseason training.
Eberl Also Honored
Max Eberl secured the third award for FC Bayern. The sporting director won the “Manager of the Season” award with 49 percent of the vote. Behind the 52-year-old were Frank Baumann of FC Schalke 04 (23 percent) and Hoffenheim’s sporting director Andreas Schicker.
For Eberl, the award is a special honor, as he has played a decisive role in shaping the German record champion’s roster in recent months, notably with the signings of Luis Díaz, Ismael Saibari, and Nathaniel Brown.
