Alexander Nübel’s future remains uncertain. FC Bayern has rejected an initial concrete offer—and now time is apparently running out for the interested club.
Alexander Nübel is reportedly no longer in FC Bayern’s plans for this summer. Club officials have been working for weeks to secure a permanent transfer for the goalkeeper, but an agreement with a new club has yet to be reached.
According to Sky, the record champions have now rejected an initial official offer from Besiktas Istanbul. The Turkish top-flight club reportedly offered five million euros as a fixed transfer fee, plus an additional five million euros in potential bonus payments. However, that is not enough for the Munich club.
FC Bayern continues to demand a transfer fee of up to 20 million euros for the 29-year-old. This asking price is met with skepticism by both Besiktas and other interested parties, especially since the Munich club is determined to sell the goalkeeper.
Beşiktaş is turning up the pressure
The historic Turkish club is making an intensive effort to sign Nübel. According to reports, Besiktas is enticing the German national team goalkeeper with a net salary of around five million euros per season, including bonus payments. Added to this is the prospect of a clear role as the starting goalkeeper.
According to Sky, further talks between the club and Nübel took place on Friday. The goalkeeper is now said to have until the beginning of next week to make a decision. Should he reject the offer, Besiktas intends to look for other candidates.
Nübel himself, however, is currently still considering other options.
A return to Munich for Nübel is not planned
FC Bayern’s stance, on the other hand, is clear. According to information from Sky, sporting director Max Eberl informed the goalkeeper’s agents two to three weeks ago that Nübel should not report to the preseason training camp at Säbener Straße.

By then, club officials hope to have found a new club for the goalkeeper.
Nübel’s agent, Stefan Backs, also confirmed the ongoing talks with Beşiktaş: “We will make the right decision for Alexander’s future. What we can confirm is that Beşiktaş is determined to sign him,” he said.
