FC Bayern has finalized its first major summer transfer. After days of negotiations with PSV Eindhoven, the Munich club has reached an agreement regarding Ismael Saibari. The Moroccan international will play for the German record champions in the future.
The move had already become increasingly likely in recent days, and now the decision has been made. As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports, FC Bayern and PSV Eindhoven have fully agreed on a transfer for Ismael Saibari.
“The deal is done! Saibari is moving to the German champions,” Romano wrote on the platform X.
Well-connected PSV insider Rik Elfrink also confirms the agreement between the two clubs and reports that the transfer is now being finalized.

According to information from Romano, the total package amounts to up to 55 million euros, including potential bonus payments.
This makes Saibari one of the most expensive transfers of the current summer transfer window and, at the same time, one of Bayern’s biggest investments in recent years.
Medical examinations are scheduled to take place in the coming days in the U.S., where the Moroccan international is currently with his national team at the World Cup.
The transfer is then expected to be officially confirmed.
Kompany drove the deal forward
Saibari was recently considered Vincent Kompany’s top transfer target. The Bayern coach is said to have strongly advocated internally for the signing of the 25-year-old and was convinced by his profile.
The versatile attacking player can be deployed both in central midfield and on the wings, making him a perfect fit for the Belgian’s flexible attacking system.
Last season, Saibari was one of the standout players in the Eredivisie and a key contributor for PSV Eindhoven.
Bayern reacted after Gordon turned them down
Interestingly, Bayern originally had different priorities for their attack.
Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United had long been considered Munich’s top choice. However, after the Englishman decided to join FC Barcelona, Saibari increasingly came into focus.
The club’s officials acted quickly and were able to reach an agreement with the player some time ago. The past few weeks have therefore revolved exclusively around negotiations with Eindhoven.
Perfect publicity at the World Cup

Shortly before the transfer was finalized, Saibari once again impressively demonstrated his market value.
In Morocco’s World Cup opener against Brazil, the attacking midfielder scored the opening goal and was one of the strongest players on the field. The 25-year-old displayed exactly the qualities that have been impressing Bayern officials for months.
With his dynamism, technique, and versatility, Saibari is expected to play a central role in Vincent Kompany’s squad in the future.
Following the agreement with PSV, the Munich club can now take the next step. With Nathaniel Brown, the next transfer is already nearing completion. FC Bayern is thus getting serious and pushing ahead full steam with the announced squad overhaul.
