FC Bayern loses the first leg of the Champions League semi-final at Paris Saint-Germain 4:5 in a crazy game. The Bayern stars in the FCBinside individual critique.
Manuel Neuer: Was blameless for all the goals conceded. Neuer had the right corner for Dembélé’s penalty, but the PSG superstar shot just too high. Dembélé’s shot hit the inside of the post at 5-2. Mark: 3
Josip Stanisic: Didn’t look good at all when Kvaratskhelia made it 1-1: He was poorly positioned in the area and then didn’t consistently stop the Parisian attacking star when he shot on goal. In general, he had his problems with the Georgian time and time again. Mark: 4
Dayot Upamecano: Won an important duel against his childhood friend Dembélé, who would otherwise have run in alone on Neuer for the second time. Upamecano was generally very strong in duels. Only at 5:2 was he unable to stop Dembélé and gave him a little too much space to shoot. Upamecano then headed in at the front to make it 5:3
Jonathan Tah: Had a few good scenes in duels at the start, but was unable to set up Doué, who provided the assist for the 5-2. Otherwise solid against an always dangerous PSG offense. 3
Alphonso Davies: Didn’t actually do a bad job on the left side of defence for a long time. Caused the penalty shortly before the break, which Dembélé converted to make it 3-2 for Paris. If only he had kept his hand behind his back! Was substituted at half-time. Mark: 4
Joshua Kimmich: Put the Paris goalkeeper to the test with a dangerous corner kick. Kimmich had little access to the game in the center of midfield, but set up Upamecano’s free-kick to make it 5-3. That was his highlight of the match. Mark: 4
Aleksandar Pavlovic: Played a bad bad pass in the first half, as a result of which Dembélé ran alone towards Neuer, but placed the ball quite clearly next to the post. Scored the assist for the 2:2 through Olise with a short pass. Nevertheless, overall not a good performance from Pavlovic. Grade: 4

Michael Olise: Had the 2-0 for Bayern on his feet after a pass from Kane, but failed to score from close range against PSG keeper Safonov. Performed an insane dribble, put the ball sharply into the middle and Joao Neves hit his own post. Olise took advantage of poor Parisian defensive behaviour in this scene to equalise at 2-2 and finished, despite four PSG defenders standing around him. Grade: 2
Jamal Musiala: Didn’t get into the header duel with Joao Neves after a corner, who headed in to make it 2-1 for PSG. Wanted to play too much in the Paris penalty area once afterwards, Musiala should have shot himself instead. Not much else came from the number 10 offensively. Grade: 4
Luis Diaz: Got the penalty that Kane converted to make it 1-0. Got stuck by goalkeeper Safonov at 5-2 after a spectacular dribble. Diaz was simply unstoppable by the Parisians and regularly created danger. His goal to make it 5-4 was extra class. A great performance! Grade: 1

Harry Kane : Once again remained ice-cold from the spot and gave Bayern the lead with a penalty after a foul on Diaz – despite an unbelievable whistle from the Paris fans. Kane otherwise worked hard for the team. Grade: 2
Substitute
Konrad Laimer (46th for Stanisic): Got a chance to score shortly after coming on as a substitute, but the Austrian failed to hit the target after a pass from Diaz. For Paris‘ 4-2, which was set up via his side, Laimer first stood wrongly and then slipped. mark: 4
Leon Goretzka (78th for Musiala): Came on too late to score
