FC Bayern continue to be linked with defensive reinforcements. Despite Dayot Upamecano’s contract extension, rumours of further central defenders persist. One name that has resurfaced is DFB international Yann Bisseck from Inter Milan
The 25-year-old is no stranger to Säbener Straße and the German defender has been repeatedly linked with a move to the record champions in the past. As reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport, Bisseck is still on Munich’s transfer list
The central defender once trained in the youth ranks at 1. FC Köln and moved to Inter Milan in the summer of 2023. Since then, he has continued to develop in Italy and has now also made the leap into the German national team
Inter probably willing to talk if a suitable offer is made
Even though Bisseck is now part of the Nerazzurri’s extended regular squad, a door could still open next summer. According to the Italian sports newspaper, Inter Milan would be willing to discuss a transfer if a suitable offer were made
According to the report, the financial pain threshold would be around 40 million euros. For comparison: Transfermarkt currently estimates the current market value of the defensive player at around 35 million euros
Bisseck fits Kompany’s profile

A potential Bayern transfer would also be interesting because Bisseck is versatile in defense. The 25-year-old can not only play in the center of defense, but also on the right side of defense
It is precisely this flexibility that corresponds to the profile that coach Vincent Kompany prefers in his defenders, with players such as Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanisic also currently benefiting from this tactical versatility
Regardless of the extension with Dayot Upamecano, the defense remains an issue for Munich’s squad planning. FC Bayern could make further additions to the right side of defense in particular in the summer
However, it remains to be seen whether concrete talks with Inter Milan will actually take place.
