With Lennart Karl, FC Bayern have one of the biggest talents in Europe in their ranks – and are apparently not even thinking about letting this jewel go. Even a transfer fee in excess of the 100 million euro mark would not cause the Munich club to pause for thought, according to transfer insider Christian Falk
Real Madrid are said to be keeping a close eye on the 18-year-old and have already identified Karl as a potential future midfielder for the Whites. In the Spanish capital, the Bayern youngster’s price tag is apparently already estimated at around 100 million euros. From Munich’s point of view, however, that is nowhere near enough. Particularly piquant: Karl only recently publicly emphasised that he dreams of a move to Real Madrid
„For the record, any interested club worldwide would have to consider an offer of well over 100 million euros,“ says Falk. And even then, a departure is anything but likely: „FC Bayern won’t sell this player. They don’t want to sell this player. He’s German, comes from their own youth academy and has a huge future.“
Bayern plans long-term with Karl

According to Falk, a transfer is not a serious issue – not even in the event of an offer from Real Madrid. „In this case, 100 million euros is probably not enough,“ he added. Bayern see Karl as a central building block for the club’s sporting future
The attacking player is currently tied to the record champions until 2028 and his contract will automatically be extended until 2029 on his 18th birthday on 22 February. But those responsible at Säbener Straße are not content with that. According to information from Falk, FC Bayern are planning to sign Karl to a long-term contract until 2031 before the World Cup
Talks are already underway with his advisor Michael Ballack. „Bayern intend to offer him a longer contract that will earn him significantly more money,“ said Falk. Internally, it is assumed that these negotiations will be successfully concluded
An integral part of Kompany’s plans
Karl has also long been more than just a prospect at FC Bayern in sporting terms. Under head coach Vincent Kompany, the youngster is considered an integral part of the plans. A sale – even to a world club like Real Madrid – is therefore out of the question
In the current 2025/26 season, Lennart Karl has already made 29 competitive appearances, scoring seven goals and providing three assists – figures that underline his rapid development and explain why FC Bayern are not prepared to sell their top talent.
