The 16-year-old central defender has developed from a campus player to a serious option for the professional squad in a very short space of time – and has not only made an impression internally. Born in Berlin, he moved to the Bayern campus from Hertha BSC’s youth academy in the summer of 2024 and has undergone remarkable development since then. Despite his young age, Kiala regularly trains with the professionals, competes on a day-to-day basis with players such as Harry Kane, Joshua Kimmich and Dayot Upamecano and has already been part of the matchday squad eleven times, including the Club World Cup. Bayern see Kiala as a future regular

According to a report in the English Mirror, his father recently travelled to London to hold talks with Chelsea FC and Manchester City officials. Star advisor Jorge Mendes is also said to have recently visited Munich to get a personal impression of Kiala’s situation and sound out possible prospects. This makes it clear that Kiala has long been an international topic
Contract extension imminent
However, despite these prominent advances, the signs are clearly pointing towards Kiala staying at FC Bayern. The Munich management have reacted quickly and intensified talks about an early contract extension. Kiala is currently tied to the record champions until 2027, but this contract is to be amended and extended in the long term in the near future
Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports that an agreement is within reach: „The agreement on a new contract is imminent and has almost been concluded,“ says Romano.
