Several clubs are apparently interested in a midfielder who is under contract with FC Bayern. Will there be a departure in the summer?
Noel Aseko is increasingly coming to the fore at Hannover 96 – and his development is not going unnoticed internationally either. According to information from Transfermarkt.de, several Bundesliga and Premier League clubs have knocked on the door of the 20-year-old to find out about his situation. Belgian top club FC Brugge are said to be particularly interested and would like to sign the midfielder next summer.
Aseko is currently on loan from FC Bayern to Hannover 96 – with a purchase option of around one million euros. If 96 take up this option, the record champions can then take the U21 international back for around 2.5 million euros. This would give Bayern full control over his future. According to the player’s entourage, Aseko is keeping a close eye on the signals coming from Munich – and is hoping for clarity as to whether the club has long-term plans for him.

Born in Berlin, Aseko has developed into a regular under coach Christian Titz in a very short space of time. Two goals in the first few weeks, strong tackling and robust performances in central midfield quickly made him one of the most eye-catching youngsters in the 2nd division.
The loan year has been a complete success for Bayern so far – and could become a real transfer lever. The club not only secured the buy-back clause in the summer, but also maximum flexibility: take him back, loan him out or sell him at a profit in the event of a high offer.
The prerequisite for all scenarios is that Aseko confirms his current development. If the youngster continues his strong trend, the poker game is likely to get exciting in the summer. Bruges is only the first club to get serious – others could follow.
Aseko himself is now waiting for a sign from Munich. Whether FC Bayern plans his return or whether a departure becomes more realistic will only be decided in the spring.
