The end of the season is approaching and, alongside the future new Bayern coach, Thomas Tuchel’s future remains uncertain. Now a top club from the Premier League is said to have expressed an interest in the still-Bayern coach.
According to kicker, Tuchel is highly favoured by the Red Devils. The co-owner of Manchester United, James Ratcliffe, highly values Tuchel’s abilities and is said to have already held initial talks. Manchester United’s current coach Erik ten Hag has been under scrutiny for months following the club’s faltering sporting performances. He and his team are in a disappointing 7th place in the Premier League.
Tuchel himself has not yet commented publicly on this speculation. His plans for the future will remain „in the drawer until after the last game“, Tuchel said shortly after announcing his premature departure. For now, the 50-year-old coach’s main focus is on the final spurt of the season with Munich – especially the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.

The link between Tuchel and Manchester United is nothing new. There have already been rumours in the past about United’s possible interest in Tuchel, especially during his time at Chelsea in the Premier League. Most recently, it was even reported that Tuchel is waiting for an offer from Manchester. The coach is considered a big fan of the English league.
The possible takeover of United by Tuchel could be advantageous for both sides. Manchester United have struggled to build on previous successes in recent years. They could benefit from Tuchel’s tactical skill and experience in the Premier League. Even though Manchester United have rarely lived up to their own standards of late, the English giants continue to hold great appeal in the football world.
