Although FC Bayern have finally escaped the worst of the personnel worries that have plagued the club throughout the season, transfer planning for the summer is now underway. Even if the German record champions‘ performance curve is currently on the rise, there could be a shake-up in the upcoming transfer window. Bayern appear to have two top talents from Portuguese club Benfica Lisbon on their radar.
As Mundo Deportivo reports, Bayern have their sights set on both Joao Neves and António Silva. The two youngsters are currently excelling in the Portuguese league and are on the radar of several top European clubs. While Joao Neves is at home in defensive midfield, Antonio is one of the biggest centre-back talents in the world.
According to reports, those responsible at the German record champions can imagine signing both talents in the summer. Manchester United are also thought to be interested in both Benfica regulars, which could complicate negotiations for Munich. Mundo Deportivo also reports that the Portuguese club will put a high price tag on each of the talents.
Benfica demand a mega fee for Neves and Silva
António Neves has a release clause in his contract that is valued at a whopping 100 million euros. Meanwhile, Joao Neves currently has a market value of around 45 million euros.
It is questionable whether Bayern would pay such a high total package to lure both talents to Säbener Straße.
