Bayern have spent almost 190 million euros on new players this season. More than ever before in the club’s history. The club is also set to invest heavily in the summer. According to the latest reports, the record champions are planning to spend almost 100 million euros on new signings.

The reorganisation of the current squad is FC Bayern’s top priority. According to Sport BILD, the Munich club has even put the renovation of the training centre at Säbener Straße on hold for the time being. The original plan was to invest up to 100 million euros in the renovation by the end of the year at the latest. However, the sporting crisis has made those responsible at the Isar rethink their plans.

According to Sport BILD, the supervisory board has decided to stop the construction project for the time being and instead invest the money in a possible transfer offensive in the summer to strengthen the team.

It cannot be ruled out that the German record champions will spend significantly more money on new players. In addition to the 100 million budget, the transfer coffers could be further boosted by the sale of one or two players. FCB stars such as Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano, Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich are no longer considered unsellable.

Eberl and Freund already have a wish list

Pay TV channel Sky recently reported that new sporting director Max Eberl and sporting director Christoph Freund have drawn up a kind of wish list for the upcoming transfer window. Interestingly, according to Sport BILD, this list contains 3 to 5 names for each position.

The focus is once again on signing a defensive midfielder after Bayern came up empty-handed in their search for a six-man in the summer of 2023. However, the Eberl/Freund duo must first find a new coach to discuss the new signings with, as large investments in new players only make sense if the new coach is on board.
