Good news for FC Bayern! Jamal Musiala is making further progress on his way back from injury. While his teammates traveled to Norway for the Champions League match against Viking Stavanger, the 23-year-old worked intensively at Säbener Straße on his return to the field.
According to FC Bayern, Musiala was able to complete several drills with the ball during his most recent training session. Photos from the tz show the attacking player working out on his own at the German record champions’ training facility.
For Musiala, this is another important step on the road back to team play. Following his recent health issues, the German national team player must continue to be patient before he is available again for Vincent Kompany.
Musiala is back working with the ball
There had already been positive signs from Munich in recent days. Musiala was able to resume running drills and has been working steadily on his physical conditioning ever since.
Now comes the next step forward. The fact that the 23-year-old can once again perform drills with the ball is a welcome sign for Bayern’s management.
However, an immediate return to team training is not expected. The record champions still do not want to take any unnecessary risks with their star forward.
Just this past weekend, Bayern President Herbert Hainer made it clear in an interview with BILD that Musiala will still need some time. “He has resumed running drills and will be ready to play again in a few weeks. He feels good physically and mentally,” Hainer explained.
The Bayern boss also emphasized that the Munich club does not want to put any pressure on their attacking player during his recovery. “We’re supporting him and giving him as much time as he needs. We’re a family, especially in difficult times,” Hainer clarified.
Bayern hopes for a speedy return

For Vincent Kompany, a fit Musiala would be a huge boost. The German international is one of Munich’s most important attacking players and brings additional quality to the team’s offense with his technique, creativity, and dribbling skills.
This makes the anticipation for Musiala’s return all the greater. A specific date for his comeback has not yet been set. However, the latest photos from Säbener Straße offer hope that Musiala is getting closer, step by step, to his next competitive match.
