FC Bayern is in a battle for one of Europe’s most sought-after talents. In the transfer saga surrounding JJ Gabriel, Paris Saint-Germain is now turning up the heat on the Munich club.
The transfer battle for JJ Gabriel continues to heat up. The 15-year-old Manchester United forward is considered one of the greatest talents of his age group and is on the radar of numerous top European clubs. FC Bayern is also making an intensive effort to sign the English U-17 national team player.
The Munich club has already taken concrete steps. Max Eberl met with Gabriel’s representatives and familiarized himself with the youngster’s entourage. It was recently reported that the player’s camp is focusing on four potential destinations: In addition to Bayern, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain are in the running.
There now appears to be movement in the negotiations, particularly from Paris. According to information from the Spanish newspaper *Sport*, PSG has confirmed its interest in Gabriel and signaled to his agent, Ali Barat, that it intends to make an offer should the player be open to a move to the top French club.

This makes the competition for FC Bayern even tougher. Real and Barcelona, in particular, are said to have already held intensive talks with Gabriel. At one point, it was even reported that the two Spanish heavyweights held the best cards in the race to sign the teenager.
However, Munich is by no means out of the running. As BILD reporter Christian Falk recently reported on the “Bayern Insider” podcast, the German record champion remains among the shortlist of interested clubs. In addition to the long-term prospect of winning titles, Gabriel’s sporting development prospects are said to be a key factor in his decision.
This is precisely where Bayern could make its case, given the path it has recently taken. The club aims to increasingly integrate young players into the professional squad in Munich and give them opportunities if they perform well.
Gabriel, however, apparently does not see his future at Manchester United. The offensive player is said to be dissatisfied with his prospects at the English record champions and is seeking a departure. A transfer next summer is therefore considered likely.
A decision could come much sooner, however. Gabriel turns 16 in October and will then be able to officially enter into concrete negotiations alongside an agent. Until then, the battle among the European heavyweights is likely to intensify further. With PSG’s move, Bayern Munich now faces yet another financially powerful competitor in the race for this exceptional talent.
