Jamal Musiala is currently finding himself in the spotlight at FC Bayern against his will. While the star forward continues to be carefully guided toward his comeback following his recent health issues, a special project has apparently been underway behind the scenes for months: a documentary is being filmed about the 23-year-old.
As reported by the AZ, a documentary about Jamal Musiala is currently being filmed. According to the report, filming has been underway since the beginning of the year. The plan is to follow the Bayern star as closely as possible. The project reportedly includes traveling with the team for Champions League matches as well as exclusive interviews.
It was not originally foreseeable that the documentary would now take on a completely different dynamic. However, Musiala’s health situation is likely to be of great significance to the documentary’s filmmakers as well.
Following the two incidents in the preseason matches against Leipzig and Heidenheim, during which the 23-year-old collapsed, the public has become increasingly aware of his situation.
It is now known that neurological issues and a temporary adjustment to his medication led to the collapses. Following another adjustment, Musiala’s body is reportedly readjusting to the new dosage.
Whether and to what extent this difficult phase will ultimately be addressed in the documentary remains to be seen. However, the camera crew’s close proximity could provide insights that have not been available in this form before.
Comeback Still Uncertain
On the field, Musiala will have to remain patient for now. The German national team player will not yet be in FC Bayern’s roster for the season opener against VfB Stuttgart. Coach Vincent Kompany confirmed this. The Munich club does not want to take any risks with his return and will make decisions step by step in close consultation with experts.
A possible comeback could be on the cards on September 5 in the away game against Schalke 04. However, FC Bayern has not yet confirmed a specific return date.

For Musiala, the priority for now is to fully stabilize his situation. Internally, the club is deliberately avoiding putting any pressure on the attacking player.
Klopp has also reached out to Musiala
The Bayern star is receiving support not only from Munich. According to Sport BILD, the new German national team coach, Jürgen Klopp, is also said to have reached out to Musiala by phone.
According to the report, Klopp inquired about the national team player’s health and assured him of his support. Despite his current situation, Musiala is expected to continue playing an important role in the national team’s plans.
