As the reigning champions, FC Bayern will open the new Bundesliga season this Friday evening. They will host VfB Stuttgart at their home stadium, the Allianz Arena. Kickoff is at 8:30 p.m. The record champions’ lineup has already been announced.
Manuel Neuer will start in goal. In front of him, Konrad Laimer, Minjae Kim, Dayot Upamecano, and Alphonso Davies form the back four.
The double-six consists of Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlovic.
Brown back in the number 10 spot
Michael Olise and Luis Diaz will start on the wings. In the attacking midfield, new signing Nathaniel Brown will once again start from the beginning. The 23-year-old already played in the number 10 position in the Super Cup against Dortmund and impressed with a strong performance, including a goal of his own.

Kompany will have to do without Jamal Musiala and Serge Gnabry, who are both absent from the roster and instead trained individually at Säbener Straße.
For the Bayern coach, this is his third season with the record champions. Looking ahead to the Bundesliga opener against Stuttgart, Kompany emphasized that his excitement hasn’t waned: “The feeling is exactly the same as the first time,” Kompany explained.
