FC Bayern would like to offload a player or two this summer, including Sacha Boey. The right back did play a solid role during preseason, though this was partly due to the fact that some players joined the team later and Konrad Laimer was sidelined for a while.
There are currently no concrete offers for Boey. There has been sporadic interest from time to time, but nothing has ever materialized. The player earns a solid salary in Munich, which is also a problem for some potential suitors.
During preseason, the players around Boey—including Joao Palhinha and Bryan Zaragoza—were told they could look for a new club. That hasn’t changed to this day.
Boey Not in the Roster: Bayern Sends a Message
Max Eberl confirmed this once again in the wake of the Super Cup, which Bayern won 2–1 against BVB. “We communicated clearly with the three guys from the very beginning—and when you have a game like this, you pick the players you plan to use for the entire season.”
What Eberl means by this: Boey was left out of the roster, even though he had been a regular fixture in recent matches and had been on the field. Leaving him out of the roster for the first competitive match sends a clear message. According to a report in BILD, this signal was sent deliberately to make it clear to the player that he has no role in the team’s plans.

His exclusion from the roster could now prompt Boey and his advisors to look more seriously into a transfer this summer. As things stand, it remains unclear whether FC Bayern would accept a loan deal for the player.
That’s not out of the question, but a sale—which would guarantee immediate revenue—would certainly be the preferred option for the record-breaking champion’s management.
