Harry Kane had an absolutely impressive 2025–26 season. He delivered in every competition, scoring 36 goals in the Bundesliga alone. This secured him the Golden Boot as the top scorer in all of Europe.
In doing so, Kane outshone Europe’s top strikers, including names like Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé. Kane has been one of the world’s best players for years and scores with remarkable consistency.
In addition, he consistently demonstrates his qualities as a playmaker, retrieving the ball from deep in his own half and contributing defensively. The fact that he can combine all of this with scoring so many goals makes it all the more impressive.
Kane Receives Award as Europe’s Top Goal Scorer
Kane received the award today, Wednesday. The Golden Shoe ceremony took place at the Bayern Museum. Before Kane was presented with the trophy, there were some warm words for the Englishman.
“Harry was the Bundesliga’s top scorer for the third consecutive season. He scored 61 goals for FC Bayern and a total of 73 goals, including those for the national team, last season. Only Lionel Messi has scored more goals in a single season this century. That underscores the historic significance—Harry is an extraordinary player and, far beyond his goals, a special forward for us—as well as an outstanding personality,” explained Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen.
Not only Dreesen, but also former Bayern striker Luca Toni addressed Kane. “Harry, you’re a machine—just keep it up. I was always waiting for the ball; you don’t do that. You go get the ball, you create chances, and you still score your goals,” Toni praised.
He continued: “Dear Harry, on behalf of all strikers, I can say: You are one of us, someone who knows what matters, and every striker is proud of how you’ve managed to take the game to a new level.”
Then Kane was called onto the stage and awarded the Golden Boot. “I always try to put myself in the best position to help the team. Last season was an outstanding season for the team—on every level,” the Englishman explained.
